Breast Augmentation Can Enhance Your Appearance And Self Esteem

Breast augmentation with implants is a surgical procedure that can enhance your appearance by providing a more aesthetically pleasing contour to your body. This plastic surgery procedure can also boost self-confidence, and improve self image and self confidence. This procedure will not however, change your appearance to be an exact match for your ideal, nor will it cause other people to treat you differently than they would treat you before surgery.

Prior to your decision to have plastic surgery, you should give serious thought to your expectations of the surgery results, do research and learn as much as you can about the procedures you are interested in, and make sure that you thoroughly discuss these things with your plastic surgeon.

The Breast Enhancment Experience Re-Defined

Choosing the right plastic surgeon to perform your breast enhancement procedure includes a number of factors. Among these factors, one of the most important is your recovery following the procedure. Dallas Texas Plastic Surgeon Dr. William P. Adams States "A re-defined patient experience is now possible in breast augmentation including 24 hour recovery. I believe the patient's recovery post-surgery is most definitely one of the most important factors that correlate to the quality of the results of a given procedure."

In the majority of cases, post-operative pain is an important issue for patients undergoing breast enhancement surgery. Modern plastic surgeons have employed clinical trials and on going research in order to advance recovery and increase the comfort of the patient during the healing process. Numerous procedure techniques designed to minimize post operative pain through the reduction on tissue trauma during the surgical procedure, ultimately maximizing the recovery process.

A procedure performed using one of these new techniques provides for a quick recovery from the breast procedure with minimal post-operative pain. More than 95 percent of patients return to normal activity levels within twenty-four hours following the completion of the surgery. The recovery process also includes using your arms and hands, especially actions that require you to lift your arms and hands over your head.

Facial Paralysis Is A Treatable Condition

The facial muscles that control facial expression are subcutaneous, or just under the skin. These facial muscles (also called mimetic muscles) are innervated or 'supplied' by the facial nerve. The loss of facial innervation often results in a partial loss of facial control, or facial paralysis (the inability to smile or move the face). This condition can be congenital, as some are born with this problem) or the result of a surgical procedure such as tumor removal, loss of innervation due to facial trauma, or as a result of a viral infections, such as Bells Palsy.

There are plastic surgeons that have a special interest in treating patients with this condition. Several possible treatment options exist. These options include nerve grafting techniques and micro-vascular muscle transfer procedures.

All Skin Types Can Have Laser Hair Reduction Performed On Them

Every man and woman is able to make unwanted facial hair a thing of the past and forget about painful razors, waxing, and electrolysis. There are laser hair removal systems that are non-invasive and are specifically designed to remove undesired hair from the majority of the body. These systems generate intense long-pulsed light through an actively-cooled hand piece to effectively disable any unwanted pigment from hair follicles. To utilize laser hair removal, you must have the hair treated during the cycle of growth. These will be in approximately six week intervals.

Following A Liposuction Procedure, Most Patients Have Very Little Pain

Prior to your liposuction procedure, your cosmetic surgeon will carefully outline the areas of bulging fat that are to be suctioned. He or she will then draw detailed contour lines in order to further define the contour and shape characteristics of the deposits of fat. Plastic surgeons will use the "tumescent technique" in which a large amount of fluid will be initially placed to swell the area. This technique allows for fat to be removed in a very safe, smooth, and symmetrical manner. The fluid is able to help loosen the fat while providing a local anesthesia for operative and immediate post-operative discomfort. It will also be able to provide epinephrine which is capable of decreasing bleeding.

Burn Reconstruction Surgery

Burn Reconstruction surgery following a severe burn is a delicate procedure in which a surgeon must decide how to treat a wound, carefully assess its size, severity, and features. Is there skin tissues missing? Have nerve endings or muscle tissues been damaged? Has the skeletal support system been affected?

A split-thickness skin graft, which is most commonly used to treat burn wounds, uses only the layers of skin that re closest to the surface of the skin. in some cases, it is possible for a plastic surgeon to choose a donor site that is in a less conspicuous place.

A full-thickness skin graft is normally used to treat large, deep burn wounds or to cover lost areas of skin over joints where maximum skin elasticity and movement are necessary.

Your Plastic Surgeon Will Make Sure That Your Face Lift Is Individualized For You

A face lift procedure is very individualized. In your initial consultation with your plastic surgeon he or she will evaluate your face. This evaluation will include the skin and the underlying bone structure. Then your doctor will discuss your goals for the surgery with you. He or she will then review your medical history and check you for any conditions that could possibly cause problems during or after the procedure. These conditions include uncontrolled high blood pressure, the tendency to form excessive scars, and blood clotting problems. You must be sure to inform your surgeon of all the vitamins, herbs, and medications that you are taking. If you are a smoker, your cosmetic surgeon will counsel you on the increased risks associated with healing and he or she will wait for you to have stopped smoking for at least two months before performing a procedure.

A Cosmetic Surgeon Can Reverse The Effects Of Gravity On Your Face With A Face Lift

A rhytidectomy, most commonly referred to as a face lift, is a plastic surgery procedure that is capable of "set the clock back" with your neck and face. As a person ages the effects of gravity and exposure to the sun along with the stresses of daily life can be seen within their faces. Deep creases form between the nose and mouth, the jawline grows jowly and slack, and folds and fat deposits appear around the neck. A face lift is capable of improving the most visible signs of aging successfully by removing excess fat, re-draping the skin of your neck and face, and tightening the underlying muscles.

Breast Lift Surgery Defined

Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman's breasts. As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. Breastlift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts--at least, for a time. (No surgery can permanently delay the effects of gravity.) Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. If your breasts are small or have lost volume--for example, after pregnancy--breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both their firmness and their size. If you're considering a breast lift, this brochure will give you a basic understanding of the procedure--when it can help, how it's performed, and what results you can expect. It can't answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please be sure to ask your doctor if there is anything about the procedure you don't understand.

The Best Candidates for Breast Lift

A breast lift can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but it won't necessarily change your looks to match your ideal, or cause other people to treat you differently. Before you decide to have surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with your surgeon.

The best candidates for mastopexy are healthy, emotionally-stable women who are realistic about what the surgery can accomplish. The best results are usually achieved in women with small, sagging breasts. Breasts of any size can be lifted, but the results may not last as long in heavy breasts.

Many women seek mastopexy because pregnancy and nursing have left them with stretched skin and less volume in their breasts. However, if you're planning to have more children, it may be a good idea to postpone your breast lift. While there are no special risks that affect future pregnancies (for example, mastopexy usually doesn't interfere with breast-feeding), pregnancy is likely to stretch your breasts again and offset the results of the procedure.

Planning Your Surgery
In your initial consultation, it's important to discuss your expectations frankly with your surgeon, and to listen to his or her opinion. Every patient--and every cosmetic surgeon, as well--has a different view of what is a desirable size and shape for breasts.

The surgeon will examine your breasts and measure them while you're sitting or standing. He or she will discuss the variables that may affect the procedure--such as your age, the size and shape of your breasts, and the condition of your skin--and whether an implant is advisable.

The Surgery
Mastopexy usually takes one and a half to three and a half hours. Techniques vary, but the most common procedure involves an anchor-shaped incision following the natural contour of the breast.

The incision outlines the area from which breast skin will be removed and defines the new location for the nipple. When the excess skin has been removed, the nipple and areola are moved to the higher position. The skin surrounding the areola is then brought down and together to reshape the breast.

I Tried Botox and LOVE the Results

When we are young, we rarely give any thought to how our facial skin and muscles will change, and how we will look. I always thought because I take care of myself with alot of exercise, eating the right foods, etc. and I possessed an advantage with my healthy lifestyle and I always figured I would age gracefully.

I have discovered living a healthy lifestyle does not necessarily guarantee you will not suffer the same issues everyone does as they age. I decided to do something about it and began researching solutions. I had always heard of BOTOX, as it has been a very popular procedure, gaining popularity over the years. I had frequently thought that BOTOX was just for the movie stars and people that made their outward image the #1 priority in life. This is not so, many people from all walks of life have used BOTOX as a way to help their faces keep up with their fit bodies.

So I decided to "take the plunge" and try BOTOX injections for myself. I found an experienced, skilled and certified cosmetic surgeon in Texas, and had my first Botox Teatment. The actual procedure took all of 10 minutes, and I noticed the wrinkles and lines began to fade almost immediately. Within a week, the trouble spots had almost completely faded - another set of injections and they had totally vanished. It has been 2 months and I am ecstatic with the results. You certainly must try BOTOX injections if you want to reduce and treat signs of aging on your face.

Fill Sunken Cheeks with a Fat Transfer

In the medical world, the fat-injection procedure is known as autologous fat transplantation or microlipoinjection. It involves extracting fat cells from the patient's abdomen, thighs, buttocks or elsewhere and reinjecting them beneath the facial skin. Fat is most often used to fill in "sunken" cheeks or laugh lines between the nose and mouth, to correct skin depressions or indentations, to minimize forehead wrinkles and to enhance the lips.

There Are a Variety of Ear Problems that Ear Pinning Can Help

Besides protruding ears, there are a variety of other ear problems that can be helped with surgery. These include: "lop ear," when the tip seems to fold down and forward; "cupped ear," which is usually a very small ear; and "shell ear," when the curve in the outer rim, as well as the natural folds and creases, are missing. Surgery can also improve large or stretched earlobes, or lobes with large creases and wrinkles. Surgeons can even build new ears for those who were born without them or who lost them through injury.
