Brow lift surgery, also referred to as a “forehead Lift”, is cosmetic surgery procedure that is meant to restore a youthful, refreshed look to the forehead area. This procedure corrects sagging or drooping of the forehead skin and treats the horizontal lines and’ furrows’ that make a person appear tired, sad or angry.
During Brow Lift surgery, the plastic surgeon removes and/or tightens the muscles and tissue that are the cause the brow to ‘furrow’ and also to minimize frown lines. The surgeon may choose to utilize a conventional surgical method, during which the incision is strategically placed to be hidden just under the hair line. Alternatively the surgeon may choose to perform your brow lift procedure with the use of an endoscope. The endoscope is a viewing instrument that allows some surgical procedures to be successfully performed with small incisions. Both surgical methods provide similar results – a smoother, more youthful appearance to the forehead skin and creating a more animated appearance.
